Signature problem

I have set my signature to show in all posts. This isn't happening at all, so don't know what is happening.

Hi, Jenant.

Two things to check:

- In your Profile, if you select Edit Profile and select the Personal tab, can you confirm that the option for Show Signatures is set to Yes?

- In your admin area, if you select Settings, and then Forum Settings, is Allow BBCode in Signatures set to Yes?

Answer is yes to both, but when I have saved settings, the same window returns constantly giving me the thought it is not saving because when I go to posts, still no signature on there, I'm confused. Perhaps sigs are not functional in Beta

Signatures are functional on my forum with these settings.

Have you checked to ensure that you actually have a signature when you go to modify it in your profile?

In fact nobody has a signature on posts despite all functions set to yes for them

Go into your admin area and select the following:

Structure > Layout Templates > Thread > Post List tab



Is the following line in there anywhere?

{if $[post.created_by_user.signature]}
<div class="signature">$[post.created_by_user.signature]</div>
{/if}

I tried placing that in because it wasn't there, it didn't work. So, I sent the Template back to default. Above that section you showed me was the removed edit by code when taking the removed edited by code (because I hate it), it must have taken that part with it so my bad for not realising what was happening at the time. Thankyou very much Brian for showing me the right road and all your patience, mystery solved this v5 is not as easy as it looks when it comes to making blunders.
